GRAMMAR SCHOOL ASSOCIATE TEACHER

The Associate Teacher is a unique role for talented individuals who are looking to gain experience and hands-on practice to become a successful full-time classroom teacher. Associate Teachers have an opportunity to observe best practices in classroom instruction from experienced teachers and school leaders. Associate Teachers observe and learn from Head Teachers, co-teach with teacher-leaders, provide in-house substitute teaching coverage for teachers, and support teachers with whole class and small group student instruction. At times, Associate Teachers may also teach their own class of students, allowing for direct teaching experience within a more limited teaching load. The Associate Teachers will meet regularly with a coach for mentorship and to receive feedback on lessons and instruction. The Head Teachers are ultimately responsible for the curriculum and academic program, parent teacher conferences and speaking to families about their individual children.
